I still can’t post pictures from our vacation because they are all loaded on the laptop. So I’m going to attempt to post one from our day trip yesterday! Yesterday we drove about 4 hours for a birthday party. I know it SOUNDS crazy, but it wasn’t. It was worth every minute to go hang out with our unschooling friends. Plus, you all know how much I HATE the ocean. It’s just awwwwful. Can you hear my sarcasm? Declan and Drue looked like they had a wonderful birthday, filled with love and laughter and of course… candy! I’m so happy we got to be a part of it.
You want to know one of the big differences I’ve noticed about unschoolers? When we get together and we want to talk about a particularly rough moment or tough time, the focus stays on ourselves. We don’t sit around and complain about the kids and how they don’t listen, we talk about how we can be better parents. How we can connect with the kids more and be more understanding and helpful. I like that.
I'll second both sentiments. Apple does one thing better than every other tech company. Nope, not graphics or ease of use. Marketing. They have an antiquated business model that the rest of the computer industry abandoned in the early 90's and were only kept alive by marketing the iPod like crazy a few years ago.
And yesterday was TOTALLY worth the drive, we all had a blast and would make the trip again in a heartbeat.

Hee, hee! Yes, I worked for Microsoft when I was a working stiff but, still, my opinion is my opinion because of my personal experience. I even worked with Macs for a coupla years at MS. Macs are a PITA. Gimme a PC any day of the week.
I, too, detest the beach. Please, Br'er Bear, don't make me hang out by that nasty saltwater. Especially if there are sailboats involved. VBG!

Well, Mac have a smart marketing strategies up o their sleeves.Their brand is costly but still many people buy their stuff and even have it on their wish lists. I don't like mac either so I'm with you on this.
I love the sea though, there's just something that keeps me at peace. Maybe it's the cool wind or the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks.
