I saw this on Facebook. There is a picture of Kelly Lovejoy standing in Danielle Conger’s kitchen. Behind her there is a cabinet with a chalkboard face that I just thought was sooo cool! Naturally, I HAD to have a chalkboard cabinet of my very own.

It was really simple. Chalkboard spray paint and Masking Tape are the only material sI needed. Well, other than a husband to take the door off for me. The screws were completely stuck and I have extremely weak hands, most likely caused by loose tendons (or are they ligaments?).

I know these blurry pictures aren’t helping my cause. I really need to get adequate photo hosting. Or at least get caught up with it. :-) Anyway, the results gave a really cool effect and I’m looking forward to leaving love notes each morning for my family.

That turned out so great! I love that it's just one cupboard, smack in the middle of the kitchen. Once we're in a house all our own, this is on my to-do list.

i love this! i wish our cabinets weren't crappy formica. not even sure they can be painted.

do you remember Miranda Demarest? her old house here in Vegas had half a wall (up to the chair railing) painted in chalkboard. so much fun! when she moved she wrote a "welcome home" message to the new owners. :)

Since our house is for sale, I think that's a GREAT idea. I'm going to write that when we move!

Tara~if you put liquid sandpaper on first, it should work fine.

It does look really nice! I think it will be a selling point. Where are you moving? North about an hour??
